Venerable Dhammadipa (Ven. Xingkong) was born in Czechoslovakia in 1949 and is a world-renowned meditation master. He is a learned scholar of Buddhism as well as Sanskrit, Pali, and Chinese philosophy. In 1975, he enrolled in Nalanda University in India to study Sanskrit and Buddhist Philosophy. He then returned to Germany to serve as the Associate Librarian at Berlin University. With the encouragement of Ven. Athurugiriye Nyanavimala Mahathera, Ven. Wijayasoma Mahathera, and Ven.
